แหล่งบุษราคัมที่เป็นที่นิยมสามารถพบได้ในประเทศไทย ได้แก่ บุษราคัมกาญจนบุรี โดยจะมีสีเหลืองอ่อนๆ ร่องรอยจากธรรมชาติจะน้อย มีประกายสะท้อนกับแสงไฟได้ดี หรือจะเป็นบุษราคัมบางกะจะจากจังหวัดจันทบุรีที่มักจะมีสีเขียวปนอยู่เล็กน้อยเป็นที่นิยมในตลาดการค้าพลอยบางกลุ่ม ส่วนประเทศอื่นๆได้แก่บุษราคัมจากซีลอน ประเทศศรีลังกา จะมีเฉดสีเหลืองตั้งแต่อ่อนจนเข้ม และสีจะออกไปทางสีส้มมากกว่าที่อื่น และบุษราคัมจากซองเจียประเทศแทนซาเนีย จะมีสีแดง เหลือง ส้มผสมกันเป็นบุษราคัมที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว และมีราคาสูงในตลาดอีกด้วย
